The graduate research projects currently available in Plant Sciences for the academic year beginning October 2020 are grouped according to the three main research themes of the department.
In addition to these advertised projects, senior academics are always keen to hear from highly motivated individuals interested in doing a post-graduate degree within their groups. If you are interested in a research studentship position other than those advertised, please contact the relevant academic directly.
Please ensure that you submit a CV and cover message with your enquiry highlighting (i) the aspects of your education and training that make you suitable for the advertised project, (ii) the reasons for your interest in the specific project, and (iii) more generally, why you consider it important to undertake a PhD (DPhil) in the proposed area.
You are strongly encouraged to communicate with potential supervisors before submitting a formal application to explain why you want to come and work in your particular field of study, to answer any questions on the potential research project and to refine your application, especially if applying for a competitive scholarship.
