Thu September 24th, 2015

This week the Department’s annual Graduate Symposium took place, showcasing the breadth of research across Plant Sciences. Our third year D.Phil. students gave research seminars, and the second year students presented posters.

Congratulations go to Olga Sedelnikova and Sandy Hetherington who won the prizes for best talk and best poster, respectively.

Olga’s project aims to identify developmental regulators of C4 Kranz anatomy.

Sandy’s project investigates the genetic basis of the independent origins of roots in the lycophytes.
